WE ARE ONE
About:
" A translation of the poem The Vowels by Arthur Rimbaud into music:
Here is the Vimeo of the sound sculpture:
Photo: The Vowels Arthur Rimbaud, Manuscript Rimbaud Museum Charleville Mézières
This marks the beginning of a rapprochement towards synesthesia that Rimbaud reaches through “the disarrangement of all the senses” and which Baudelaire describes as “Like long echoes that blend from afar” in Correspondences.
Music is the subject that I am developing here:
This interactive and immersive installation translates sound/visual synesthesia while maintaining fidelity to the True, One offers a lived interpretation in real time and in 360 degrees.
The 3D scene is also interpreted in Virtual Reality to strengthen the immersive nature of my work, please then, if you wish, press the VR button once you have accessed the program.

The program interacts immediately and thoughtfully making the experience sensitive and cognitive. The audience plays a central role. The UnitedColors / One installation is an interface where meaning resides in the subject, in the lived experience, and especially in the relationship that the work establishes with the public.
Schafer composer and theorist considers nature as a musician and John Cage sees the musician as a “strange journalist” conveying and translating the perception of the latter. We then witness an art of rupture where the composer disappears along with the authority of the spectator." Sara Daher

Technical challenges:
« Representation of the 3D ball
This is a 3D mesh used for a visual representation of sound in the scene. Its shape and colors transform and vary according to the current amplitude.
Particle System
The particle system is a dynamic visualization component that is created at the center of the room where the speaker is located when the music plays and updates in real-time based on the frequency of the music.
- Position Updates: the positions of the particles are dynamically changed to create movement that reflects the audio input.
- Size Adjustments: the size of the particles also varies based on the amplitude, emphasizing the changes in the volume of the music.
Ray Visualization
Ray casting effect: these rays represent the sound waves coming from the speaker that spread throughout the room. They are generated and diffuse in multiple directions, reflecting off the walls.
This dynamic movement provides a visually responsive representation of the energy and rhythm of the audio. »

Testimonial:
“By abandoning all personal narration, Sara Daher gives her audience an active interpretation. The work then becomes as much that of the visitor as that of the artist.
Visually, the captures show pulsating and biomorphic forms which align with the idea of translating music as a living architecture.”
